Required Materials: Measuring Tape

*To help with accuracy, complete the following steps wearing your best fitting bra. It is best that the bra is not padded, as it can add inches to the measurements. If your best bra happens to be padded, and it is heavily padded, consider subtracting an inch at the end of Step 3. If it is lightly padded it is likely to not add to the measurements.

Step 1: With a measuring tape measure yourself at the top of your ribs under your breasts, around the back where your bra band would sit. That’ll tell you your band size (Ex. 34 inches). If it lands on an odd number (Ex. 33 inches), round it up to the next number (Ex. 34 inches), as that number would be more of a comfortable fit.

Step 2: Then measure around your back and measure over the peak of your breasts (Ex. 38 inches). Make sure the measuring tape is in a straight line around the body.

Step 3: Take that number (38), subtract the first number (34 - band size), and that’ll give you 4 inches, and your cup size is D. Every inch difference is a letter of the alphabet (A=1 inches, B=2 inches, etc.). So those measurements equal a 34D. Use the chart below to help with converting your inches to cups.
